Sorry, this month I’m not giving you anything new. Instead, it’s me talking about my music list combiner spreadsheet again.
Since I posted my original tutorial back in October 2025 (I thought I posted it in September, which is why I say “9 months ago” in the tutorial that I am posting today 😂), a few assistants have pointed out that what I’d made already existed on EditingTools.io. I didn’t realise that at the time, but after making quite a few improvements to my spreadsheet back in February, I wanted to compare my spreadsheet with their tool.
After using their tool on a few different edits, I found that while it seems to work fine in most situations, it starts to struggle with certain types of crossfades. Whereas, since making the changes to my spreadsheet, it’s been 100% accurate every time, and I’ve used it A LOT.
Because the spreadsheet has changed quite a lot since my original tutorial, I thought it was worth making an updated video showing you how to use the latest version, while also comparing it with the Music Cue Sheet tool on EditingTools.io.
I also want to say that I’m not trying to tell you not to use EditingTools.io. I actually love the website, I advertise it on Bin There, Fixed That, and use their Subtitle Tool converter all the time. I just wanted to show you what I found when testing the Music Cue Sheet tool, and why I decided to keep working on my own version, even after finding out there was already a tool that assistants use for precisely this.
